What are your wedding colors and/or themes?
Our wedding colors were midnight blue, pinks and corals.

What is your inspiration when planning your wedding?
My vision for my wedding was romantic, elegant and classic… but with a touch of fun. :)

Did you incorporate any fun themes/motifs or design elements?
Yes! We got married on October 3rd (Mean Girls day!) because Mean Girls played a part in our relationship while dating. Adam wore Star Wars themed cufflinks. Adam introduced me to the Star Wars universe when we first started dating. The Han and Leia “I Love You.”/“I Know.” quote has become a staple in our relationship. Since our wedding was a “COVID wedding,” we incorporated hand sanitizer in the goody bags and custom masks with our wedding date and hashtag printed on them.

Did you include any special traditions, old or new?
We incorporated the tradition of the bride and groom not seeing each other the day of the wedding (until first look photos) and we did a more traditional cake cutting. We had both of our parents walk us down the aisle, which was important to us.

Is there anything else you’d like to share?
We were originally planning for a 200+ person wedding in New Jersey on October 3 . When COVID hit and heavy restrictions were put in place for weddings, we didn’t know what we were going to do. In July, we had the option to postpone our 10/3 wedding, so we postponed to 10/9/21. In the meantime, we really wanted to get married on our original date, so we explored the idea of a “micro-wedding.” I went to Cooperstown for my bachelorette party in July and it occurred to me: why not look into holding our mini ceremony at The Otesaga? We planned our micro-wedding in a short time – less than two months before the wedding. Everything went off without a hitch! I was so impressed with The Otesaga and all of my vendors (especially the Walker Wedding Group!)
